DAY 1 TBILISI CITY TOUR

Arrival to Tbilisi. Enjoy Tbilisi City tour for the rest of day. First visit to Trinity cathedral (1995-2004) the highest church in Georgia, where thousands of children are baptized every year. After Sameba, have a walk in the Sharden Street and enjoy sightseeing of tiny sculptures scattered around the streets. Continue to Sioni Cathedral built in the 13th c and visit Erekle II Street full of nice café-bars. Cross the bridge of peace and with cable car ride up to Narikala fortress built in 4th century. Stroll down to the Old Mosque, continue to Legvtakhevi area and explore small canyon and waterfall. Explore bathhouse quarter – Abanotubani. Bathhouses still use naturally hot sulfur water. Transfer back to hotel. Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 2 TBILISI-MTSKHETA-ANANURI-GUDAURI

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Mtskheta - ancient capital of Georgia to visit UNESCO sites: Jvari monastery 6th c and Svetitskhoveli cathedral 11th c. Considered as Georgian architectural wonder, Svetitskhoveli preserves the robe of Jesus Christ. Jvari monastery stands on the hill of the mountain that overlooks the city. You have the unique opportunity to see confluence of two rivers – Aragvi and Mktvari. After Mtskheta, have a short excursion at Ananuri Architectural Complex 16-17th cc. The complex comprises churches, fortification and residential buildings and was one a seat local Dukes. In the evening arrive in ski-resort Gudauri. Dinner and overnight in Gudauri.

DAY 3 GUDAURI-STEPANTSMINDA-TBILISI

Breakfast at hotel. Full day exploration of high Caucasus Mountain. Reach 2395 m level on the Cross Pass, where we can make several stops to taste the mineral water and observe snowy peaks of mountains. Visit top of Mount Gergeti, Holy Trinity Church 14th c. standing on the top of Stephantsminda and at the same time under the foothills of magnificent peak Kazbegi (5033m). In the evening drive back to Tbilisi passing by Gudauri ski resort. Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 4 TBILISI-GORI-UPLISTSIKHE-BORJOMI-AKHALTSIKHE

Breakfast at hotel. Head to Samtskhe via Kartli region. On the way, we stop in Gori town, the heart of Kartli region and the birthplace of Soviet leader Joseph Stalin. The museum houses a collection of private items that belonged to the Soviet Dictator. Next comes a trip to Uplistsikhe cave town – one of the oldest inhabited places of Georgia. It dates back to early Iron Ages. The town is cut out from rock with secret tunnels and passes connecting ancient chambers and halls. Next stop is Borjomi – a town famous for mineral sparkling water. The artesian springs are fed by waters coming from glaciers and it rises to the surface without pumping. You can taste Borjomi mineral sparkling water and walk through Borjomi-Kharagauli national park – one of the largest protected areas in Europe that covers 5300 sq. km. The place is unique because of ecological and geographical zones, historical sites, and wildlife. In the evening arrive in Akhaltsikhe town. Overnight in Akhaltsikhe.

DAY 5 AKHALTSIKHE-RABATI CASTLE-VARDZIA

Breakfast at hotel. Today we explore Samtskhe-Javakheti region. Excursion begins in Rabat castle and continues to Vardzia. Vardzia is a rock-hewn complex on the left bank of the river Mtkvari. It was founded in the 12-13th cc, during the reign of Giorgi III and his daughter Queen Tamar. Initially planned as a townfortress, the complex became a well-fortified monastery that had a significant role in a political, cultural and spiritual life of Georgia. In the evening, drive back to Akhaltsikhe. Overnight in Akhaltsikhe 3* hotel or Vardzia 4* hotel (Upon Availability) 7 Day Visit Georgia.

DAY 6 AKHALTSIKHE-TSALKA-TBILISI

Breakfast at the hotel. Drive to Tbilisi via lakes Sagamo, Paravani and Tsalka. Overnight in Tbilisi.

DAY 7 TBILISI-HOME

Breakfast at the hotel. Check out untill 12:00 pm. End of the service. Transfer to the airport for home flight.
