DAY 3 MOSCOW
Breakfast at hotel. Just like the day before your guide will pick you up from the hotel. Today we immerse into Russian art and culture. The Tryetyakov Gallery: Back in time the vast collection of arts was just a hobby of a wealthy merchant and met nothing but scepticism of the surrounding people. But finally it led to something that the Imperator Alexander III later referred to as “when a merchant turned out to be ahead of the tsar”. The Tretyakov Gallery today is one of the main national treasuries of arts, sculptures and graphics. Of course, you won’t be able to explore it all within a day but you will surely see the most notable masterpieces of the museum collection. After a shot metro ride, you will visit Christ the Saviour Cathedral - the main Orthodox Church of Russia, so huge that it seems nearly endless as you walk down its gorgeous halls. Our day continues with the guided walk down the main pedestrian street of Moscow – The Old Arbat. Every single building here can tell its own wonderful story. Our guide will talk about the most outstanding people who used to live here - their remarkable legacy and cultural contribution. At 3.30 p. m. our guide will leave you here, in the Old Arbat.
